Liquid droplets on hot surfaces
In this seminar behaviour of liquid droplets on a very hot surface is presented and a simple model is introduced to describe droplet evaporation. Special cases where droplet dynamics is involved are mentioned, important processes and their qualitative description is presented. This seminar supplements a previous seminar Leidenfrost effect, presented in December 2011.
متن کاملMetal-based Inkjet Inks for Printed Electronics
A review on applications of metal-based inkjet inks for printed electronics with a particular focus on inks containing metal nanoparticles, complexes and metallo-organic compounds. The review describes the preparation of such inks and obtaining conductive patterns by using various sintering methods: thermal, photonic, microwave, plasma, electrical, and chemically triggered. Various applications...
متن کاملA Numerical Study on The Solidification of Liquid Metal Droplets Impacting onto a Substrate
The problem of normal incidence impact with solidification of a spherical liquid metal droplet onto a rigid planar substrate is studied. The Navier-Stokes equations are solved using a finite-volume formulation with a fixed grid. The free surface of the droplet is tracked by the volume-of-fluid (VOF) method. The surface tension on the droplet surface is evaluated by a continuum surface force (CS...

متن کاملElectrical stimulation towards melanoma therapy via liquid metal printed electronics on skin
BACKGROUND We proposed a method of using electrical stimulation for treatment of malignant melanoma through directly spray-printing liquid metal on skin as soft electrodes to deliver low intensity, intermediate frequency electric fields. METHODS With patterned conductive liquid metal components on mice skin and under assistance of a signal generator, a sine wave electrical power with voltage ...
